Position: Paralegal (Immigration Law) Working Hours: Full-Time Monday to Friday, 9:00 am-5:00 pm CST Salary Range: $1000 to $1400 (depending on the client's final salary offer) Search: Lat-Am Duties and Responsibilities: Working directly with clients to prepare immigration cases, Preparing forms, gathering evidence and documentation, writing affidavits, writing declarations, writing cover letters, Legal research – reading and learning new knowledge when a case type requires it, Assisting with drafting status inquiries, special request letters, RFE (request for evidence) responses, NOID (notice of intent to deny responses), NOIR (notice of intent to revoke responses), motions to reopen, motions to reconsider, notices of appeal, and appeal briefs, Assisting attorneys with court cases including drafting motions, pleadings, applications, and other lings for court, Assisting attorneys with ling for court cases (including ling both paper cases and eROP – electronic cases), Assisting attorneys in developing case strategies, Working with the entire legal and administrative team including any necessary third parties to ensure effective representation of our clients.
Qualifications 1-3 years of previous experience, ideally in a professional office or law office setting.
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Dropbox, and calendar management.
Strong phone-based sales and communication skills.
Reliable Device (minimum 8GB RAM, Core i5 or above), noise-canceling headset, and stable internet (15Mbps or above).
Empathetic, patient, and service-oriented approach.
High level of accuracy in data entry and note-taking.
Skills Excellent verbal and written communication and phone etiquette.
Detail-oriented - strong attention to detail is a must Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision.
