Duties: - Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as contracts, briefs, and pleadings - Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases - Organize and maintain legal files and documents - Prepare and proofread legal correspondence and reports - Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings - Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries with professionalism and courtesy - Perform data entry tasks to update case information in document management systems - File and retrieve documents from physical and electronic filing systems - Transcribe dictations and prepare accurate transcripts - Provide administrative support to attorneys as needed Skills: - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Excellent attention to detail for proofreading legal documents - Proficient in using document management systems and other legal software - Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and court filing requirements - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information - Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)- Familiarity with clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of duties or skills required for the position of Paralegal.
