Job Overview: Be part of our client's team as a Paralegal , where you'll support corporate transactions, manage legal documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You'll conduct legal research, oversee compliance with BSA/AML regulations, and assist with risk assessments, ensuring smooth operations in a dynamic, innovative environment with opportunities for growth. Employment type: Indefinite term contract Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST Work setup: Work from home Your Legal Toolkit: What You'll Be Handling Serve as transaction counsel for equity and debt financing, secured transactions (including DACAs), and other legal matters as needed. Review, draft, and negotiate policies and procedures related to product offerings and banking regulations. Manage the review of all documentation by outside counsel and oversee their work on transactions. Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compliance and operations, to address legal and compliance needs on an ad-hoc basis. Conduct legal research related to commercial lending and develop corresponding policies and procedures. Manage third-party vendors, conduct risk and due diligence assessments, and assist with reporting requirements. Support the enforcement of BSA/AML policies and procedures, including name screening checks, KYC onboarding, and ongoing monitoring. Identify and analyze problems, generate alternative solutions, and make independent decisions with minimal supervision. Participate in Employee Engagement activities to promote team welfare and a positive work atmosphere. Communicate suggestions for process improvements to management, both internally and at the client level. Exhibit flexibility with working hours and shifts, as schedules may vary, and rest days may be assigned outside of weekends based on business needs. Perform ad-hoc tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations. Ensure access to reliable internet services while working from home; a company computer will be provided during the temporary WFH status.
