With over 15 years of mechanical design experience in areas such as ruggedized electronic packaging, Futurescape can assist you in rapidly developing prototypes for your designs and ensure that your manufacturing cost estimates are accurate and on schedule. Our high level of expertise gives us the opportunity to analyze and evaluate designs using the necessary tools and skills, while considering exposure to various environments. Purpose: This Inside Technical Sales role will generate revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders; understanding and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts. This is a front-line sales position that will be customer-facing, reselling mechanical engineering technology and driving the sales process from start to finish. Major Roles and Responsibilities: Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends; identifying sales opportunities. Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport, providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations. Closes new accounts by answering telephone, fax, and email inquiries; verifying and entering information in a CRM to support account development and business forecasting. Fills orders by transferring orders to fulfillment; communicating expected delivery dates; explaining stock-outs. Develops accounts by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features and maintaining regular communication with assigned accounts. Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities.
