South Carolina ETV (SCETV) is the state's public educational broadcasting network. SCETV amplifies South Carolina voices, provides educational experiences, and strengthens communities, while working to create a stronger, more connected, and informed South Carolina. SCETV provides national and local content to classrooms via internet services Knowitall.org and PBS Learning Media. SCETV also provides teacher training and re-certification in face-to-face and online settings. JOB PURPOSE: Conducts pre-production, production, and postproduction for studio and location video recordings of short subject, documentary, and/or educational programs. Independently creates and/or edits various content for TV, Radio, Digital, or Education. Organize highly technical ideas, complex concepts, and information into accurate, easy to understand video/audio segments. Monitor web analytics. Create tactics and strategies to increase project performance in target areas. Job Responsibilities JOB DUTIES: Produce, write, and edit video features for various ETV major project initiatives from conception. Research and prepare for assigned projects, including content outlines, scripts, conducting location scouts, and identifying specific equipment needs. Capture high-quality audio recordings during studio and field productions. Execute successful postproduction of projects, including editing, color grading, and sound design using various edit systems. Confer with Producers/Directors, Instructional Specialists, and Engineers to determine production requirements. Facilitate various streaming events for the State Legislature and other state agencies, including equipment setup and operation. Maintain current knowledge of media technologies and trends and advise on best practices. Minimum and Additional Requirements A high school diploma and five (5) years' experience in journalism, media arts, or related field. Preferred Qualifications Three (3) years of related experience or an associate degree in media production and three (3) years of related experience or equivalent education, training, and experience.
