  Job Description Join the team as a Medicare Risk Coordinator , where you'll be at the heart of our client's risk adjustment initiatives, collaborating closely with a dedicated team.
You will work closely with the risk adjustment team to ensure accurate documentation of patient medical conditions, diagnoses, and treatments, ultimately contributing to the optimization of reimbursement and quality reporting processes.
  Chart Your Course in Healthcare: Employment type: Indefinite term contract Shift: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM TO 5:00 PM EST Work Setup: Onsite, Bogotá/Medellin   Prescribe Precision: Conduct comprehensive chart reviews for assigned patient populations to identify and document relevant medical conditions, procedures, and diagnoses.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain missing or incomplete documentation necessary for accurate risk adjustment coding.
Assist in the analysis of clinical data to identify potential coding gaps and opportunities for improvement in documentation practices.
Work closely with coding and billing teams to ensure proper assignment of diagnosis codes and submission of claims.
Support the implementation of risk adjustment programs and initiatives aimed at improving coding accuracy and optimizing reimbursement.
Participate in educational sessions and training programs to enhance understanding of risk adjustment methodologies, coding guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Assist in the preparation of reports and analyses to track performance metrics, identify trends, and measure the effectiveness of risk adjustment efforts.
Contribute to special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior members of the risk adjustment team.
Requirements Healthy Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, health information management, nursing, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in healthcare, preferably in a clinical or administrative role.
Basic understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Familiarity with ICD-10 coding system and CMS-HCC risk adjustment methodology preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Education: Medical degree.
