POSITION SUMMARY/JOB FOCUS The top priority of a MSL is to cultivate HCPs´ scientific based and non-promotional relationships, by disseminating product or disease complex information according to the HCP´s demand. MSLs actively engage in activities that support the scientific strategic direction of a product. Therefore, MSLs are exposed to key decision makers both within the organization and outside the company. As catalysts of collaboration between Pfizer and KOLs, MSLs are essential conduits to the quality of success by transmitting complex scientific information, research resources and medical intelligence. The MSL fullfills customer and company needs by: bridging external and internal environments and focused on different activities and customers. RESPONSIBILITIES Foster collaborative relationships with opinion leaders and facilitate the exchange of unbiased scientific information between the medical community and the company; Provide scientific information of the latest clinical trials in a fair balanced way showing the develop, efficacy and safety on the use of Pfizer medicines Promote scientific information of key molecule or disease area among targeted physicians and other HCP´s within an on label context or off label (reactively, according to KOL´s demand); Develop and maintain professional relationships with academic centers to ensure their access to current medical and scientific complex information; Conduct technical presentations to Health Practitioners to ensure accessibility of scientific and practical product information which may include product administration characteristics, therapy management and other practical concepts to expand the current product knowledge. Maintain contact with KOLs and other HCPs by face to face by traveling throughout the National Territory or by virtual meetings (webex meetings or other virtual resources ) when applicable. Participate in medical educational programs and disseminates technical information regarding the molecules and disease concepts, identifying competitive intelligence. Upon external requests for information, send data on products to healthcare professionals including physicians, hospital practitioners and formulary committees, consultant pharmacists, health care authorities and health care providers. Participate and interact with healthcare professionals in local, regional, national and international scientific meetings (when applicable), Facilitate and support scientifically the projects involving external and internal customers. Work closely with medical manager to: Develop and maintain strong relationships with KOLs, in accordance with the Medical strategies developed together with Medical Manager and MSL manager to further understand and gain both insight and/or input into treatment patterns, and unmet medical needs; Provide information to local experts (speakers) to assist in keeping their presentations current and ensure they have medical and scientific information necessary when responding to questions encountered during their presentations Serve as field local medical scientific resource for planning and communicating product information. Cooperate in the planning and development "advisory boards" , "speakers trainning" or other meetings involving opinion leaders promoted by the company; Communicate with internal cross functional areas bringing medical insights that may impact the medical community awareness about Pfizer drugs or disease area, working to ensure correct use of Pfizer´s Medicines. Physicians Health Care Professionals (Nurses, Pharmacists ) Hospital / Institutions Payers (supporting H&V with scientific data according to demand)) Medical Societies Other, including internal stakeholders REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, Technical Skills, Competencies, Etc) Technical Medical Doctor (MD) Degree Required; Fluency in English is required; At least 1 year of Pharma Industry or Corporate Health Services experiences is required; Strong medical-scientific and pharmaceutical knowledge. Hematology and Epidemiology experience is a differentiation; Proficient in Microsoft tools; Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written) Effective communication of technical/scientific information Previous experience as MSL is a differentiation, but not required.
