Job Description
This is a remote position.
Scope: Work remotely, maintaining consistent availability during clinic hours (8 AM to 5 PM Atlanta, GA Time, Monday through Friday).
Manage an average of 15-20 patient calls daily. Adapt to the specific needs of a rural healthcare practice, including communication with providers using various technological capabilities.
Contribute to the overall efficiency and patient satisfaction of a busy primary care clinic.
Responsibilities: Answer and manage incoming phone calls (more than 20 per day).Provide support to the physician and staff.Assist with patient referrals to specialists.Handle appointment reminders and follow-up calls.Manage fax communications with other healthcare providers.Utilize electronic health record (EHR) system for patient information management.Coordinate and process prescription refill requests.Requirements: Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably as a medical assistant or receptionist.Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently.Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and VoIP phone systems.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Familiarity with medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures.Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.Comfortable using fax machines and other office equipment.Independent Contractor Perks: HMO Coverage for eligible locations.Permanent work from home.Immediate hiring.Steady freelance job.
