As Software Engineering Manager, Mobile you will be the driving force behind our software team's success, ensuring that we deliver innovative, high-quality software solutions that meet our business needs. Your responsibilities will include: What you'll do: Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of talented software developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. Talent Acquisition: Lead the hiring process for new team members, ensuring we attract and retain top talent. Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with the Director and senior leaders to ensure that software projects align with Achievers strategic goals. Quality Assurance: Oversee the development, testing, and deployment of software applications, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices. Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement in software development processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality. Project Management: Lead software projects from inception through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope. Executive Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management and participate in strategic planning sessions to shape the future of Achievers initiatives. What we're looking for: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Proven Leadership: A minimum of 8 years of experience in software development management, with a deep technical background and hands-on coding expertise. Team Builder: Demonstrated success in managing, mentoring, and building high-performing development teams. Technical Mastery: Proficient in Swift, Kotlin, Java, GraphQL, SQL, and other modern mobile programming languages and technologies. Also understands development practices such as Agile / Scrum. Communication Expert: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with experience crafting detailed technical documentation. Strategic Visionary: Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset to identify inefficiencies and drive impactful improvements. Cross-Functional Collaborator: Experience working closely with Product Management, Data Science, and Business partners to align technical solutions with business objectives. Architectural Innovator: Ability to see the big picture and contribute to defining the broader architecture of our custom platform, ensuring its scalability and effectiveness. Engage in design/architecture discussions, and share your ideas while building the next generation of features for the Achievers platform.
