Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization: Ensuring correct and daily execution of key responsibilities in the Adidas Global Business Services according to the requirements of the company Accounting Manual for specific areas of responsibility. General functional expert with responsibility for processes and the delivery of services with his/her team. Key Responsibilities: Led a team responsible for processing daily operations & month-end closing activities to ensure the high quality and reliability of records and the resolution of open items. Ensure accuracy and correctness of the activities performed in his/her team and provide insights and explanations pending or errors in transactions. Be a Subject Matter Expert for GL / R2R / Financial Reporting related topics. Review the work prepared by other team members to ensure that the activities are performed as expected. Work with the other GBS teams to ensure activities carried out are correct and assist in resolving queries and/or issues. Review the account reconciliation, ensuring full compliance with pre-defined requirements. Produce routine analyses, schedules, and summaries for internal & external activities. Prepare audit deliverables as required. Able to coach and motivate team members to achieve targets and KPIs agreed upon (Understand, monitor, and take proper actions). Comply with accounting standards, policies, and procedures. Responsible for process documentation (including creation and updates as required). Close contact with the local Finance Teams across Adidas subsidiaries and other GBS located in Europe, Asia, and the Americas, handling daily queries such as mismatch–aging in intercompany and non-reconciled items in open reconciliations. Problem analyses and proposals or assessment of solutions, and respective implementation. Perform other related duties as assigned.
