Purpose: The Procurement IT Latam Manager is responsible for managing over $65MM annual spend (together with Regional Category Leader) to ensure the Procurement organization delivers results in support of both MedTech and Innovative Medicine Latam IT strategy and objectives. This role is accountable for the following primary objectives: You will be responsible for: Partner with key business stakeholders, Procurement Global & Regional Category and Business Engagement leaders to orchestrate Procurement delivery of several impactful initiatives through buying intervention, structural optimization and free cash flow. Responsible for leading and implementing critical IT categories & markets projects for the MedTech and Innovative Medicine businesses. Work directly with IT regional leadership, Finance Leaders, Procurement Business Engagement Leaders and, Global & Regional Category Leaders to align on Procurement activities. Deliver against performance targets for both businesses and Indirect Services Procurement organization in the role's areas of responsibility and ensure target achievement. Responsible for leading and implementing procurement initiatives, including delivery of sourcing and supplier relationship management for IT categories and markets. Develop deep supplier relationships with strategic suppliers for owned projects to include performance management, co-innovation, and improvement of end-to-end value. Conduct supplier negotiations for owned projects supporting businesses and provide recommendations to leaders. Work in close partnership with GS IT Sourcing Team by influencing them to deliver projects and achieve savings commitments. Lead the regional Portfolio Governance process to ensure progress is supervised and communicated on key business plan initiatives across the category. Drive the implementation of the regional Portfolio Governance technology solution. Qualifications Requirements: Bachelors Degree is required, MBA or equivalent degree is desirable. Advanced Spanish is desirable. At least 5+ years related work experience in IT or Procurement/Sourcing. Familiar leading projects from design to implementation for procurement categories with multi-country experience. Strong business insight – the ability to understand challenges through the eyes of the regional business leaders. Influencing skills – the ability to persuade others to change behavior in pursuit of a common goal. Strong leadership and collaboration skills at the senior executive level, as well as with peers. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present complex information to senior executives. High level of proficiency with core Procurement processes (e.g., business engagement, category strategy, supplier management, sourcing, contracting, R2P, etc.). Technical Skills - Microsoft Office, Tableau, Salesforce.com, Ariba. Broad-based understanding of core procurement areas of focus (category management, supplier management, spend management, business engagement, supplier negotiations, contracting). Experience in competitive bidding and sourcing strategy development. Ability to prioritize requests and propose effective alternatives. Strong project and change management capabilities. Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to respond to changes in the external environment, while ensuring the organization is able to effectively and efficiently move through transitions.
