Manager, Accounting & Financial Reporting Job Title: Manager, Accounting & Financial Reporting Position type: Permanent / Full-time Job family: Finance About the Business: This role is part of the Regional Tax and Accounting (RTA) tax team, reporting to the Income Tax Manager based in the US. Currently, this position does not have any direct reports. Summary of the Role: Reporting to the North America Income Tax Manager, this position will collaborate with the US team on both internal and outsourced direct and indirect tax compliance requirements and projects impacting Central America, the Caribbean, and the LATAM region. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills and a solid tax technical background, complemented by a proactive and enthusiastic work ethic. This individual will lead the outsourced compliance process, prepare tax provisions and account reconciliations, and play a key role in company-wide projects. We seek a self-starter who can effectively manage multiple competing priorities. In this Role You'll: Manage the end-to-end process and communicate with local consultants regarding outsourced compliance engagements. Review and facilitate associated internally prepared workpapers while meeting required deadlines. Utilize critical thinking to perform strategic reviews of all consultant deliverables, including annual income tax returns, estimated payments, annual tax provisions, associated journal entries, and monthly indirect tax filings and payments. This role will involve managing projects and liaising with various departments to meet compliance requirements. Assist the Tax Manager in reviewing outsourced tax provisions, deferred roll forwards, supporting calculations, and related journal entries. Prepare and review monthly tax account reconciliations and required accounting journal entries. Communicate effectively, both verbally and electronically, with global departments to obtain relevant data efficiently and to meet internal and external deadlines. Evaluate current tax systems and procedures for efficiency, working collaboratively with the team to develop improvements as needed. Support the team on company-driven global tax projects and initiatives, including tax planning and implementation of newly enacted procedures and guidelines, software systems, and entity restructurings. Provide tax compliance support to the business and the Finance Service Center (FSC). About the Ideal Candidate: Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, taxation, or equivalent work experience. Fluency in spoken and written business English is required. Minimum of 7+ years of corporate in-house tax and/or public accounting experience. Technical Competencies: Proficient in advanced Excel skills (e.g., PivotTables, SUMIF, VLOOKUP). Experience with SAP S4Hana is preferred. Familiarity with tax regulations in South America, Central America, and the Caribbean. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong understanding of IFRS Standards. Experience collaborating with local tax consultants on indirect and direct tax filings. Experience working with auditors. Thrives in a fast-paced environment; self-starter with a hands-on attitude.
