Job Characteristics This is a lead position that must have a peer leadership component. This role requires a broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience. Trains, delegates and reviews work of employees in their area of responsibility. Ability to perform the tasks of all other levels on an as needed basis. Responsibilities Facilitates product shipping, purchasing, warehousing, distribution, forecasting, and/or customer service. May drive forklifts. Updates and maintains inventory control databases. Ensures the freight sorting area is organized, and follows the established sorting and stocking guidelines. Education/Work Experience Typically requires a secondary diploma, or equivalent, plus three or more years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing space. Prior coaching or leadership experience preferred. May have forklift driving experience or licensure. Independence Level/Reports to Able to work under limited supervision and may be responsible for leading daily operations, typically reports to Logistics Team Leader, Associate Logistics Manager or other management role.
