Yango is seeking a Legal Counsel to support commercial and regulatory operations across Latin America, shape legal strategies, and help connect local markets to cutting-edge technologies.
You will be responsible for: Partnering with internal teams to structure new legal schemes, draft commercial agreements, and negotiate with external partners and financial institutions.
Advising and counseling the organization on legal matters related to commercial operations.
Identifying legal issues, analyzing risks, and providing solutions aligned with business objectives.
Supporting marketing initiatives and other business functions with legal advice.
Managing legal requests, drafting bills, and assisting GR-related projects with state and law-enforcement organizations.
Representing Yango in interactions with government authorities, courts, and arbitration institutions.
Retaining and managing external legal counsel to ensure cost-effective representation.
You might be a fit if you have: Hold a law degree.
Have 3+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in legal support for commercial online services, ride-hail, and cross-border businesses, or related industries.
Bring experience from a multicultural organization.
Provide strategic legal guidance and handle complex legal issues effectively.
Are fluent in English and Spanish, including a command of legal and business terminology.
Have experience negotiating, drafting, and closing complex commercial transactions.
Adapt to a fast-paced, pressurized environment and act decisively.
Demonstrate strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, excelling as a team player.
Take a punctual and responsible approach to work, meeting deadlines consistently.
Are prepared for occasional domestic and international travel.
It'd be a plus if you: Hold an LLM degree.
Have experience working with public authorities (negotiations, filings, or other interactions).
