About the role: The legal side of the programs can get quite complicated and requires a large amount of oversight and compliance.
We are looking to add a team member that will focus on program compliance, investor documentation, drafting and reviewing of legal documents, and entity reporting and maintenance.
You will deal with Historic Tax Credits, New Market Tax Credits, Opportunity Zone investments, CPACE financing, HUD financing, and many other state and local programs.
The Legal Assistant is responsible for the following tasks but not limited to: Duties and responsibilities: Transaction coordination with banks, investors, and program administrators Communicating with clients via phone, by email and video to conduct interviews and field questions Performing initial background research and briefs for legal group Seeing to administrative tasks Attending meetings alongside the legal team and taking accurate notes on proceedings Organizing documents for program filing and record keeping Transcribing and proofreading legal documents Scheduling client appointments Maintaining client confidentiality and privacy Other admin ad hoc tasks Qualifications: 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or relevant role Hungry and willing to grow.
US Real Estate (development) experience is an advantage.
