The ideal candidate for this position is responsible for supporting lawyers with various tasks, including conducting legal research, drafting, and reviewing documents, communicating with clients, preparing for hearings, trials, and meetings, and organizing and maintaining files. It is expected that the ideal candidate can multitask and have great communication skills via email and phone to respond to messages from witnesses, court employees, or clients. They coordinate with paralegals and attorneys to make updates to their appointment schedule and assist attorneys with administrative duties. Onsite Job based in Barrio Santa Barbara Responsibilities: Support in case/client interviews: whether it be setting up the interview, performing the interview, or revising the notes afterwards - each step is crucial to ensuring that we are accurately setting up the client's story. Administrative tasks: organizing case files, ensuring all documents and forms are up to date, including managing case calendars, deadlines, and scheduling interviews. Client communication: maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on their cases, including explaining the processes and requirements to the client in a clear and understandable manner. Translation and interpretation: providing language assistance, whether verbal to writing (vice versa). Continuing Education: stays informed about changes in immigration laws, regulations, and procedures through ongoing education and training. Confidentiality: maintain strict confidentiality of client information. Qualifications: Bilingual: Spanish with English C1 or B2 Associates or bachelor's degree. 2+ years of professional work experience. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software, Google Suite products. Proven experience in the following areas: Communicating with clients (Phone, text, email, in person) Collecting, updating, processing, organizing client evidence in e-files/hard files and payments Processing and scanning all mail Meeting with clients to collect documents, payments, and other things as directed by the Legal Team.
