Position: United States based corporation seeking a dynamic Lead IT Technician to join the team at its related party factory in La Vega, Dominican Republic. We are looking for a Lead IT Technician who is fluent in English and has proven experience with a proactive approach to join our team. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of leadership experience in an IT technician role and a total of 4 years of experience in IT support. As a Lead IT Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations, providing technical support, and maintaining our network and server infrastructure. Responsibilities: Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to end users in person, over the phone, and remotely. Promptly respond to customer requests and troubleshoot network and computer-related issues. Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot end-user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices. Network and Server Infrastructure: Assist in installing, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network and server infrastructure. Work with physical and virtual servers, switches, routers, wireless access points, and firewalls. Regularly perform computer equipment upgrades, including firmware, operating systems, and application updates. Vendor Interaction: Collaborate with third-party hardware and software vendors by initiating and supporting vendor services as needed. Documentation and Training: Maintain accurate inventory records and supporting documentation for hardware and software. Stay informed about emerging technologies to support future company needs and validate proposed new technologies. Provide training to staff on various technical subjects. Requirements: Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience leading IT technicians. A total of 4 years of experience as an IT technician. Familiarity with access points, domain controllers, and Active Directory. Experience with Network Video Recorders (NVRs): Knowledge of configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting NVRs for surveillance systems. Team Leadership: o Provide leadership and guidance to the IT support team. o Monitor team performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed. Skills and Qualities: Patient, well-organized, and customer oriented. Ability to work independently and ensure tasks are completed. Willingness to work one weekend day per week. Occasional evening work for installations and troubleshooting. Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Meticulous attention to detail. Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds of technical equipment. Technical Requirements: Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of Windows 10/11. Familiarity with Office 2019/2021 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022. Ability to handle server, computer, and office equipment hardware installation, maintenance, repair, and upgrades. Bonus points for experience with enterprise networking and infrastructure management tools and services (AD, DHCP, DNS, etc.). Familiarity with Google Workspace is advantageous. Education: Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent CompTIA A+ or Net+ is a plus Compensation: Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and performance-based bonuses.
