Job Description We are looking for a Lead, Backend Engineer to join our Engineering Team reporting to the Engineering Manager. As a Lead, Backend Engineer at Epsilon, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and scaling of software solutions that run in the cloud, processing several TBs of data per day. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in backend, cloud, and database (SQL and NoSQL) technologies and will mentor team members and foster a community ensuring technical excellence and innovation. Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, testing, and support of back-end services in the context of big data solutions. Architect and develop high-performance APIs (generally REST) and highly available services. Develop scalable and independent services for processing large volumes of information (ETLs). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers. Ensure adherence to best practices in code quality, testing, and cloud-native application development. Qualifications Expertise in at least one BackEnd language (preferably Go, Node.js). Advanced proficiency in SQL and REST services. Strong knowledge of Scrum methodologies and agile development practices. Extensive experience with at least one cloud platform (preferably AWS). Proficiency in testing frameworks and observability tools. Demonstrable experience leading the development of scalable and quality backend components. Versatility to work with multiple programming languages and platforms. Strong knowledge of Docker (Kubernetes experience is a plus). Experience working in a Linux development environment.
