This role entails communicating with customers, managing remote employees, coordinating daily with the warehouse manager to ensure smooth warehouse operations, and coordinating with transportation carriers.
Proficiency in management systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is essential for success in this role.
The incumbent will play a pivotal role in optimizing workflows, automating processes, and enhancing operational efficiency.
While prior experience in logistics is beneficial, is not a requirement.

Responsibilities Manage and supervise remote employee(s) to ensure efficient operations Daily communication with customers to provide status updates and answer inventory questions Collaborate closely with the warehouse manager to oversee and streamline warehouse operations Communicate effectively with transportation carriers to coordinate shipping and delivery schedules Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to track inventory, shipments, and deliveries Optimize workflows and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency Daily communication with the owner of the business to provide updates and address any operational issues Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards Analyze data and generate reports to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges to minimize disruptions and delays Requirements Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a logistics or supply chain environment Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) preferred Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage remote teams effectively Demonstrated ability to optimize workflows, automate processes, and drive operational excellence
