You will focus on ensuring a smooth employee experience, harmonizing cultures, and aligning with local business practices in Colombia, Peru, Chile, and Brazil.
Your work will be pivotal in navigating the complex landscape of Latin American labor markets, regulations, and cultural nuances as well as be a key contributor in supporting the company's M&A activities, from due diligence through integration.
Como você causará um impactov • Mergers and Acquisitions: o Collaborates extensively with centres of excellence to develop a LatAm M&A toolkit that can be utilised across the region.
o Lead HR M&A activities across the region, participating in due diligence, integration planning, and post-merger support.
o Tailor integration strategies to align with the unique cultural and regulatory environments of Colombia, Peru, Chile, and Brazil.
o Identify and mitigate risks specific to labor laws, employee relations, and workforce transitions in these countries.
o Help to harmonize the culture and policies of acquired companies with the organization.
• Strategic Partnership: o Collaborate closely with regional leadership teams to understand local business objectives and challenges, ensuring that merger partners are smoothly integrated into the existing business framework.
o Provide insights on how to navigate the socio-political landscape, especially in markets with high volatility or regulatory complexity.
• Staffing and Talent Management: o Lead talent assessment and redeployment efforts, ensuring that the right talent is retained and integrated to support business growth.
o Address talent gaps and leverage the rich talent pool in Latin America, focusing on emerging markets.
o Collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition COE to address specific talent needs and strategies that should be deployed to attract candidates and enhance EVP and Recruitment Marketing efforts, among others.
• Project Management: o Develop and execute comprehensive HR project plans tailored to each country, ensuring that all aspects of the merger are addressed, and key deadlines are met.
o Manage cross-border teams and facilitate effective communication across different time zones and cultures.
• Business Alignment: o Promote alignment between HR and the business on key dates and deliverables on time.

o Work closely with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) and local HR teams to align corporate HR strategies with regional needs, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and cultural practices.
o Oversee the integration of HR support functions such as payroll, benefits, and labor relations, customizing them to align with local practices.
• Cross-functional collaboration: o Partner with finance, legal, operations, and other departments to address complex HR issues, ensuring a holistic approach to HR support that considers the unique challenges of the Latin American market.
• Compliance and Risk Management: o Ensure HR practices comply with the diverse and complex regulatory environments across Colombia, Peru, Chile, and Brazil.
o Proactively address potential risks, including union negotiations, workforce transitions, and cultural integration challenges.
Data-Driven Decision-Making: o Track and report on key HR metrics specific to Latin America, providing insights for continuous improvement related to M&A projects.
Sobre você • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with at least 5 years in an HRBP role focused on mergers and acquisitions within Latin America.
• Deep understanding of Latin American labor markets, employment laws, and cultural dynamics, particularly in Colombia, Peru, Chile, and Brazil.
• Proven experience in successfully supporting M&A activities and driving organizational change across different countries.
• High level of proficiency in Spanish (Native) and English (Advanced), Portuguese is a plus.
• Additional certifications or training in Cross-Cultural Management, Change Management, Project Management, or M&A-specific HR practices, are a plus.
• Cultural Fluency: Strong awareness of cultural differences within the Latin American region and the ability to navigate them effectively.
• Strategic Mindset: Ability to align HR strategies with business goals in diverse and complex markets.
• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Project Management: Proven ability to manage large-scale projects with cross-functional teams across multiple countries.
• Problem-solving: Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with a focus on innovative solutions tailored to local needs.
