A quick run-down of the job As a Junior Smart Contract Developer, you will work closely with our developers and engineers to design, test, and deploy smart contracts. This is a unique opportunity to dive into blockchain technology and contribute to a real-world project. You will be exposed to various aspects of smart contract development, from writing code and unit testing to conducting code reviews as well as researching topics, tools and security incidents. Our extensive codebase includes over 50 different smart contracts which are deployed to more than 20 different networks. Please note: This role requires you to be located in EMEA or APAC. Our tech stack: Solidity, Yul/Assembly, Foundry, TypeScript What you'll do Assist in writing, testing, and deploying smart contracts using Solidity Enhance our CI/CD pipelines on GitHub, automating workflows to maintain the highest standards of security and code quality Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure code quality and security Write unit and integration tests to ensure the robustness of our smart contracts, optimizing gas consumption for efficiency Investigate failing transactions, identify the root cause and create fixes Contribute to technical documentation Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in blockchain, including Layer 2 solutions, DeFi protocols, and EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) upgrades Work closely with other developers, product managers, and QA engineers to ensure seamless integration of smart contracts into broader system What makes a good candidate Fundamental understanding of blockchain technology, Ethereum, and smart contracts Proficiency in Solidity Understanding of gas optimization techniques and contract security best practices Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about complex technical issues Detail-oriented with a careful approach to writing code, with a focus on security and efficiency Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction within the team and external stakeholders Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a distributed, culturally diverse team Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges Experience with non-EVM smart contract ecosystems and/or Huff programming is a plus Experience working with/for a major DeFi protocol is a plus Contributions to Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) or other blockchain initiatives are a plus A degree in computer science or a related field is a plus We encourage you to apply if you feel your experience and skills equip you for this job but are not listed here!
