We are looking for an experienced and proactive IT Manager to lead and optimize our IT operations, ensuring quality, security, and scalability.
What is the role about?Vision & Strategy Translate the company's strategy into actionable IT objectives and plans.Collaborate with the VP and Director of Engineering to align IT operations with the broader business strategy.Process Improvements Design and implement company-wide IT processes to enhance security and quality, such as tool selection guidelines and policies.Develop GDPR-compliant IT processes and ensure adherence.Plan and manage IT budgets and vendor relationships.Team Development & Guidance Build and lead a scalable IT team by automating workflows and defining robust IT processes.Empower, train, and manage IT team members to close skill gaps and enhance productivity.Establish best practices to foster efficiency and growth.What will you need to be successful?Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Administration, or a related field.Senior level of IT experience, with 2+ years in a managerial role.Background in roles like Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, or IT Project Manager.Technical Skills: Proven experience managing complex IT projects, from planning to execution.Advanced knowledge of ITIL practices.Expertise in compliance and security frameworks, including GDPR and cybersecurity.Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, Google Workspace, Jira, FreshService, and Slack.Key Competencies: Strong process-thinking and process automation skills.Excellent stakeholder communication and prioritization abilities.Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.Other Requirements: Fluent in English.Budget management experience.What we offer: We value your participation in Tourlane's success and complement your cash compensation with a package of employee stock options (ESOP)Flexible working setup: You are welcome to take advantage of our lively Berlin office in a Hybrid setup.We share your passion for traveling: enjoy our generous work from abroad offeringYour wellbeing matters to us: we offer mindfulness classes to take care of your mental health, sessions with Nilo.healthWe support all the diverse communities that make us Tourlane: join or create your own Employee Resource Group (ERG) and connect with TourlaneansDog-friendly office: we can't wait to meet your furry friend!
