Oikocredit's Country Office Peru is looking for an Investment Officer (40 hours) to be based in Lima, Peru. The Investment Officer is part of the Andean Hub (Peru, Colombia, Bolivia, and Ecuador) and reports to the Investment Manager. The Investment Officer will work with internal and external experts as required in the best interests of our partners and Oikocredit. He/she will act as a relationship manager, translating market developments and client needs into opportunities to create impact and do business. Although specialised in a specific sector, the Investment Officer is conversant with Oikocredit's strategy, sectors, and its products & services. The Investment Officer responsibilities include: Building, maintaining, and monitoring a portfolio of investments with a focus in the Andean region. Focusing on commercial activities and working closely with specialists at the regional level. Co-responsibility for the countries' portfolio performance and quality check of new proposals. Identify and originate impact investment opportunities through short-term debt for agricultural export companies in Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia. Responsibility for developing networking of importers, foundations, financial institutions, and government agencies through participation in both local and international events, representing Oikocredit. Conducting due diligence and preparing proposals, supporting the closing of deals and disbursements, monitoring, and supporting capacity-building projects. Support in the development of capacity-building programs and subsidy projects for borrowers (agricultural export companies). Education, skills, and experience: Professionals in Economics, Finance, Administration, Industrial Engineering, Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, and Forestry Engineering with studies and experience in financial analysis of agricultural companies. Master's Degree in the field of finance and banking, business administration, or economic development. Four to six years of experience in banking, market analysis, and economic development with a proven track record of sourcing, structuring, and closing investments for corporate segments, conducting financial statement analysis, risk assessment, and due diligence in the field, etc. In-depth knowledge of inclusive finance and social impact. Strong analytical skills. Familiarity with financial analysis using advanced financial modeling. Solid understanding of and ability to evaluate company financial statements. Good business acumen and strong interpersonal skills. Extensive user skills of Microsoft Excel and computer literacy in general. Excellent written and verbal command of English. Desirable: Experience in impact financing, particularly in financial inclusion, agriculture, and renewable energy. Knowledge of the coffee, cocoa, fresh fruit, and vegetable industries in Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia will be valued, as well as the concepts of sustainability, impact banking, innovation, and technology in agriculture.
