Why you'll love this job Working with a team supporting all aspects of operational training, with a particular focus on international security needs for the Division. The role will require extensive travel for both international as well as domestic. The successful candidate will need to be adaptable to working under general direction, sometimes at short notice coordinating quality instructional material, web-based training, instructor led guides and supporting material. Must be detail oriented and passionate about creating and delivering interactive and engaging training for our airport teams. Motivated self-starter with proven leadership skills to coordinate, create and deliver regulatory and company mandated training within the Airport Operations Training internationally. Facilitate American Airlines mandated initial, recurrent and operational training programs. Engage and guide learners while in training including, but not limited to: OJT, performance assessment, performance evaluation, mentoring when necessary. Communicate clearly and empathetically creating a welcoming learning atmosphere. Facilitate documented employee feedback to the line manager. Collaborate with other team members across the training organization on a variety of projects. Develop and maintain productive relationships with corporate departments and station personnel. Maintain quality assurance of all training delivered providing ongoing feedback to learning specialist to ensure all materials meet corporate objectives. Conduct and participate in airport compliance reviews and audits when required. Understand, clarify and communicate new policies, procedures and initiatives. Ensure annual compliance with Dangerous Goods, Health & Safety and regulatory training. Identifying training requirements and deliver additional training for all Airport Operation employees. All you'll need for success Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience Valid US Visa B1/B2 Must be able to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English. Proven Airline experience In-depth knowledge of and proficiency in all aspects of airport customer service Working knowledge of SABRE skills. Proficient and working knowledge in American Airlines Sabre and/or US Airways QIK Shares system. Working knowledge of the PC software applications Outlook, Word and PowerPoint. Strong leadership qualities and above average administrative skills. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. Must be proactive, resourceful, and creative in finding solutions to ad-hoc problems. Previous training/teaching experience preferred. Self-starter, motivated and energetic promoting a positive attitude. Ability to work under pressure and multi-task whilst retaining a positive approach. Attendance and training record must be exemplary as this is a self-managed position. Able to work under pressure with minimum supervision and in a team. Must be able and willing to travel extensively both domestically and internationally to facilitate courses and provide mentoring/support. Hold a valid passport.
