ADay in the Life Responsibilities may include the following andother duties may be assigned : - Develops, documents, and configuressystems specifications that conform to defined architecturestandards, address business requirements, and processes.
- Involvedin planning of system and development deployment as well asresponsible for meeting hardware and software compliance andsecurity standards.
- Evaluates interface between hardware andsoftware,
operational requirements and characteristics of overallsystem. - Establishes and documents system design, parameters andformats, ensures hardware and software systems functionality,performance and compatibility, and coordinates and / or modifiessystem parameters in terms of configurations, such as existing andprojected computer capacity and capabilities.
- Actively identifiessystem functionality or performance deficiencies, executes changesto existing systems, and tests functionality of the system tocorrect deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling,data integrity, conversion, input / output requirements, and storage.
- May document testing and maintenance of system updates,modifications, and configurations. - May act as a liaison with keytechnology vendor technologists or other business functions.
- Function Specific : Strategically design technology solutions thatmeets the needs and goals of the company and its customers / users.
- Leverages platform process expertise to assess if existing standardplatform functionality will solve a business problem orcustomization solution would be required.
- Gather and prioritizeintegration requirements. - Test the quality of a product and itsability to perform a task or solve a problem.
- Perform basicmaintenance and performance optimization procedures in each of theprimary operating systems. - Technology : Using computationalthinking to define technological solutions to real life problems.

Themajority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects from design to implementation - while adhering to policies, usingspecialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advancededucation.
DIFFERENTIATING FACTORS Autonomy : Recognized expert,managing large projects or processes. Exercises considerablelatitude in determining deliverables of assignments, with limitedoversight from manager.
