As a Documentation Specialist , you will analyze, interpret data, and provide logistics information to aid cost-effective, efficient, timely, and high-quality logistics solutions.
Some of your responsibilities are but are not limited to: Documentation Management: Prepare, review, and process all shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, and customs documentation.
Create batch records and maintain accurate and organized records of all documentation.
Coordination and Communication: Liaise with clients and carriers, to ensure smooth and efficient cargo movement.
Coordinate with the operation team to gather necessary information for documentation.
Provide updates and respond to inquiries from clients regarding documentation status.
Coordinating Shipments: Ensuring the timely shipment of goods between countries, whether by air, sea, rail, or road.
Route Optimization: Selecting the most efficient transportation routes to minimize costs and ensure timely delivery.
Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues with documentation.
Work proactively to prevent and address documentation-related problems that may arise during the shipping process.

Minimum requirements: Studies: High school degree is required.
Desirable (not mandatory) studies in International Business, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or Logistics related.
Experience: At least 6+ months working in freight forwarding, customs, import/export, international logistics or related.
Having experience in other logistic areas would be a plus.
Knowledge: Hands-on experience with CargoWise, and proficiency in both export and import documentation.
Familiarity with Hazardous Materials documentation for transport is highly desirable.
Language: Excellent English skills.
B2+ or higher is preferred.
Perks: Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., following the American Calendar.
Contract: Indefinite term contract + Benefits.
Location: Only for Medellín.
This position will be on-site at WeWork Santa Fe.
