Job Description Onsite - Human Resources and Payroll Specialist This is an onsite position based in Colombia. Only applications in English will be reviewed. Apollo XCM is looking for an experienced Human Resources and U.S. payroll processing specialist to support HR processes for the staff in Houston. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of W2 and 1099 contracts, benefits accrual, and payroll calculations for U.S. companies. This role will involve being an integral part of our Human Resources team based in Colombia. Key Responsibilities Calculate payroll for U.S. companies. Manage and administer W2 and 1099 contracts. Handle benefits accrual and related processes. Collaborate with the HR team to ensure compliance and efficiency. Manage and maintain HR databases and records. Assistance with onboarding and offboarding. Responsible for HR files and maintaining employee records. Resolve payroll and HR-related issues promptly and effectively. Demonstrate strong self-management and organizational skills. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Bilingual (Spanish and English), with strong proficiency both verbal / written - in both languages. English level required is C1 or above. This is a MUST, since 100% of communications will be in English. Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. Experience working in the HR department of a U.S. company. In-depth knowledge of U.S. payroll and HR processes. Strong understanding of W2 and 1099 contracts. Experience with benefits accrual and management. Proficiency in database management. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of USA employment-related laws and regulations. Understanding of startup culture.
