DISCOVER THE ROLE Key Responsibilities: Assist in the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees, including data entry, calculations, and verification of hours worked. Support the maintenance of payroll records and employee information in the payroll system, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, providing assistance and resolving issues as needed. Assist in the preparation of payroll reports, including earnings statements, tax filings, and other relevant documentation. Contribute to process improvements and efficiency enhancements in payroll operations, identifying opportunities for automation and streamlining. Maintain confidentiality of payroll information and handle sensitive data with discretion. Qualifications & Experience required: Student at least 9 semester or University degree or High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting, finance, or related field is a plus. Prior experience in payroll processing or related administrative roles is desirable. Familiarity with payroll software systems (e.g., VISMA, SARA) and Microsoft Excel. Basic understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
