About us tukan is a Mexican start-up focused on helping companies easily access and manage public and external data sources. Our mission is to help institutions leverage the power of public data to solve their most pressing business challenges. We currently offer SaaS, enterprise and research services to leading companies in Mexico and are looking for someone to help us manage our research team and expand our data-coverage to other countries. About the role The role is a hybrid between product manager and research analyst . Essentially, you will help lead our team by performing the following tasks: Write weekly macro, strategic and financial reports for both internal and external use, based on the data available on our platform. Creating and maintaining a pipeline of new data sources to add by our team of engineers to our internal platform. This will be done based on client feedback, sales strategy and current macroeconomic trends. Ensuring the team understands the use cases behind each data source and completes the task on time. Implement models and best practices to standardize data across multiple sources and geographic regions. Document and QA current and future datasets in our platform. The role is fully remote . Qualifications Required: At least one year of full-time experience in economic analysis, equity research, consulting or related. Excellent Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent written and verbal communication (in both English and Spanish). Excellent attention to detail and experience with preparing presentations or documents for C-level executives or investors. Experience presenting complex data in clear and concise visualizations. Experience working with publicly available data sources (company filings, government data sources, etc.) Desirable: Experience working with public data from any of the following countries: Peru, Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina and USA. Experience managing a small team. Working knowledge of Python or R.
