Business Architecture is a discipline that focuses on the design and structure of an organization's business processes, capabilities, roles, and functions. It provides a holistic and strategic view of how different elements of a business are interconnected and aligned to achieve the organization's objectives. The primary goal of people business architecture is to create a blueprint that helps organizations understand and optimize their people operations. To align business and technology, optimize processes, utilize data for informed decision making, and ensure that our Digital Technology solutions support our strategic objectives within the people area, we are looking for an experienced and inspiring Head of People Business Architecture for the Americas that has the ability to translate complex concepts in simple, non-technical terms. This new role will have a regional scope and be part of the People & Culture leadership team. It involves a combination of strategic planning, business analysis, and technology expertise to align business objectives with technology solutions in the people domain and provides a holistic and strategic view of how different elements of the business are interconnected and aligned. The individual will collaborate with a wide array of stakeholders to understand people capabilities (current and future state) and define roadmaps to develop such capabilities over time and build the bridge between business and technology. Responsibilities Create a blueprint for optimizing the people operation. Lead and enable the build of digital skills and mindset within the People & Culture function. Plan and design a people architecture strategy based on various business scenarios and motivations. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, translate them into technology solutions that create value for the people domain. Be the People & Culture counterpart to the Digital Technology team. Generate capability maps, information architectures, process models, data models, system diagrams, roadmaps, transition plans, and risk assessments. Design and implement methodology and governance structure for people processes, policies, and systems, including a process to follow-up on adherence to policies and processes. Provide awareness, training, and guidance to ensure the region is GDPR compliant for people related systems. Identify, design, and implement performance tracking systems. Profile Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Industrial Engineer or a related field. At least 7 years of experience in Business Architecture, Functional Architecture, and/or Solution Architecture, ideally in the people domain. Experience from working in the interface between business or people function and technology. Ability to analyze and assess the current state of a business, people processes and IT solutions, and identify opportunities for improvement. Experience working with business leaders and people teams to align business and IT strategies. Understanding of IT systems, as well as workflow automation, benefit realization, and service delivery. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate to all levels in the organization. Ability to translate complex concepts into non-technical terms. Experience in defining business processes using different tools and techniques. Knowledge of people systems such as SAP, Oracle, Meta 4 or others is an advantage.
