About the role: Will be responsible for ensuring compliance with hygiene, safety, and biosecurity protocols in the hotel.
Key functions include conducting audits, monitoring compliance with local and international food safety regulations, coordinating with different departments to ensure the implementation of safety and health standards, and maintaining a constant relationship with health authorities.
What you will do: Communicate to the Leadership Team and General Manager any non-compliance related to hygiene, safety, and its consequences.
Conduct a weekly hygiene walk with the General Management and other hotel leaders in the front and back areas of the hotel.
Participate in scheduled meetings to reinforce needs and priorities related to hygiene, food safety, and environmental requirements.
Ensure, together with the human resources manager and occupational health and safety, that workers, guests, clients, and visitors comply with biosecurity protocols in the hotel.
Assist in food safety, hygiene, and social security for individuals and communities (healthy and ill) in matters related to food and viral and contagious diseases.
Conduct investigations and generate responses to food incidents reported by guests, clients, and/or colleagues.
Maintain a good relationship with clients, guests, colleagues, and health authorities.
Lead and keep current the licenses and certification processes related to food safety, management systems, hygiene, and sustainability according to current legal regulations and/or as designated by Four Seasons.
Maintain a favorable concept in food handling areas established for food handling areas.
What you bring: Technologist in food handling or professional in food engineering (Mandatory).
Minimum 3 years of experience leading the hygiene department in the food and beverage service industry.
Knowledge and management of the Microsoft suite.
Knowledge of hygiene protocols focused on kitchen and cleaning areas of the A&B department.
