About The Position
Full Stack WordPress Developer
You will work with talented UI/UX designers and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organization's Digital Experience Platform (CMS) on a WordPress multisite instance. You will also support Sysadmin functions with your knowledge of MySQL databases and automation tools.
Main Responsibilities
1. Construct new websites in a WordPress Multisite DXP (Digital Experience Platform).
2. Produce marketing assets to support new partners and programs.
3. Migrate legacy websites into the new DXP (Digital Experience Platform).
4.
Maintain websites via production tickets and ad hoc projects.
5. Create custom modules for content entry and publishing automation.
6. Optimize code bases via page speed diagnostics to improve browser efficiency and search rankings.
7. Quality assurance reviews of other developers' work.
8. Troubleshoot errors by reviewing logs and browser consoles.
9. Assist with feature documentation.
10. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs for responsive page development.
11. Ensure accessibility compliance via WCAG 2.0 A and AA standards.
12. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
2. 5+ years full stack development experience.
3. 3+ years of WordPress development experience.
4. Proficient understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JS, and jQuery.
5. Advanced knowledge of PHP (5+ years) and MySQL (3+ years).
6. Experience interacting with JSON RESTful APIs.
7. Experience working with WP Engine (2+ years).
8. WordPress Plugin Development Experience Required (2+ years).
9. Experience working with Azure DevOps (1+ years).
10. Elementor visual designer experience.
11. Understanding of custom post-type development and implementation via visual designers.
12. Experience with CMS parent and child theme development.
13. Experience with GIT version control tools and local development.
14. Strong understanding of data architecture.
15. Knowledge of schema markup and code optimization for search rankings.
16. Analytical mindset with strong quantitative and problem-solving skills.
17. Effective documentation and communication skills.
