Responsible for the daily management of accounting functions and operations, ensuring the financial system is accurate, efficient and in accordance with Colombian accounting principles. This role will support regional implementation and management of financial systems, manage the monthly and year-end accounting cycles, supporting the preparation of annual financial statements and other tax compliance requirements. *This role is based in Bogotá, Colombia. We do not require copies of diplomas, work certifications, or other documents at this stage.* The Opportunity: Accounting Operations Manage daily accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Oversee the month-end close process, including reconciliation of GL accounts, tax GLs, and payroll. Collaborate with Global Treasury on intercompany settlements and treasury activities. Lead the preparation of annual financial statements and compliance with tax regulations. Tax Compliance Partner with the Global Tax team to ensure accurate tax treatment and adherence to Colombian regulations. Coordinate timely tax filings, payments, and transfer pricing activities. Maintain relationships with external advisors and manage communication on tax matters. Statutory Compliance Lead financial statement preparation and manage external audits for Colombia. Respond to audit inquiries and ensure proper application of accounting policies. Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy. Supervise one direct report, fostering professional growth through SMART objectives, regular 1:1 meetings, and career development opportunities. Promote inclusive leadership and team wellbeing. Governance and Continuous Improvement Build effective control frameworks and document end-to-end processes. Identify opportunities for automation and enhanced efficiency in financial operations. Ensure alignment with global finance practices and maintain transparent communication with stakeholders. Key Relationships Internal: Regional Finance Teams, Global Tax, Treasury, CoSec, Shared Services, and Corporate Services Leads. External: Auditors and third-party service providers. Minimum Qualifications: Qualified Accountant (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent). Bachelor's degree in Finance or similar field required. NIIF Accreditation or Diploma, NIIF implementation course, knowledge of annual tax updates and passed English course. Minimum 8 years of finance experience in a professional services environment required. Experience in finance leadership, statutory accounting, and compliance in a multinational environment. Strong technical expertise in external reporting, statutory accounting, and financial systems. Demonstrated ability to lead accounting teams and manage complex processes. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including working with senior leaders and external auditors. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word); ERP experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is advantageous. Proven track record of driving process improvements and fostering collaboration. #J-18808-Ljbffr
