Responsibilities: Assist department managers with their submission for the budget process. Have ability to build and review budget plans, determine reasonableness of assumptions and question/interview department managers regarding their submissions. Oversee consolidation and submission of plan utilizing Hyperion budget system. Analyze upstream monthly performance against budget both at dept and rollup level and extract qualitative explanations for performance. Utilize analysis to make useful insights to business challenges and opportunities and make recommendations to senior management over operational or strategic decisions. Assist in implementation of new Business Objects tool over the course of next six months. Train dept managers on use of new tool. Identify and make recommendations for tool/process improvements. Proactively develop new analyses and reports to provide insight and assist with management business decisions. Develop, recommend and implement solutions to complex financial issues or technical projects or processes, requiring financial analysis and thorough knowledge of financial concepts. Develop tools or new processes to enhance generation and accuracy of revenue, expense and headcount forecasts. Oversee headcount tracking and requisition approval process. Required Experience: BS degree in Accounting or Finance is required - MBA and/or CPA is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in high tech environment. Budget and cost experience and FP&A analysis experience required. Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with Excel, required. Demonstrated expertise in business analysis and financial modeling. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills a must. Capability to successfully switch from working at a strategic global level to very detailed level is critical. Self-starter, with ability to work independently with excellent planning and organizational skills. Must be capable to take vague concepts or issues and translate them into succinct problem/issue statements which are accompanied by commentary or recommendations. Team player who can interact well with any level of management or employee. Ability to delegate, coach and mentor. Proven ability to manage complex tasks with constrained deadlines. Preferred Experience: Experience in conducting competitive analyses and utilizing external market data to assist business partners in decision-making a plus.
