What You'll Do:
- Lead accounting inventory accruals & processes in the areas of FIFO/LIFO Inventory Accounting with primary focus on Corporate, Tools, Outdoor and Industrial BUs
- Partner with key stakeholders such as Global Operations Inventory Controller, BU Operations Controller, BU Controllers, Operations Finance and Supply Chain to maintain strong process and controls around inventory FIFO/LIFO Accounting Methods, policies, and standards
- Create best practices manual for inventory management and reporting ensuring that all transactions are compliant with GAAP and Company policy (one model approach, controls verification related to FIFO/LIFO Accounting,)
- Partner with Operations Finance, Supply Chain, IT, Master Data Team and Finance functions to identify and implement process improvement initiatives, including automation opportunities
- Participate in system implementation projects as required

You also have:
- 35 Years of Accounting/US GAAP Experience with focus on Controllership related accounting activities (Inventory Management, FIFO/LIFO accounting methods)
- Strong communication skills across many functions and levels of leadership
- Organized & Detailorientated with strong project management skills
- Strong technological skills with Excel/Alteryx/ SAP/Hyperion HFM/Power BI
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on automation & simplification
