PIPECARE Group is looking for a Field Technician to join our team.
She/He will be based out of our Bogotá, Colombia office and is responsible for providing on-site client installation, repairs, and maintenance of their equipment at various locations.
The general role for the Field Technician is to ensure the proper execution of field work and coordination of field activities.Job Functions, Responsibilities & Authorities:Prepare, sign and submit pigging, daily, express and other relevant reports.Discuss equipment and tools requirements including auxiliaries, AGM's, DGPS, magnets, launching trays, spares, toolbox, and all other required tools for use in the field, etc.
Study and analyze project information document, operation manuals, pigging procedures, and other project-related documents.Establish professional contact with client's field personnel creating friendly working relations.
Execute field work in a safe, effective, and efficient manner in accordance with PIPECAREQA/QC procedures and in line with time, resource, and financial planning.Coordinate field activities between PIPECARE team, subcontractor, client, and other involved parties Perform ILI runs successfully without data loss as per API standard.Conduct sufficient cleaning runs to the established PIPECARE cleaning criteria.Conduct site survey and DGPs Survey in line with PIPECARE procedures and operational requirementExecute all other tasks as requested by Team Leader within the assigned job role.Accountability:Timely Project execution within the assigned job role.Perform and complete the job successfully.Submission of daily reports.Work Environment:This role involves working in various environments, some with potential exposure to dust, chemicals, noise, and varying weather conditions.
We prioritize employee safety and require strict adherence to safety standards and the use of personal protective equipment in designated areas.Skills/Experience:Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or relevant) plus 3 years of operation planning experience.Experience in Oil and Gas sector, preferably with ILI exposure.Computer skills in Microsoft word, excel and outlook at an intermediate level.Fluency in English, the language of the Territory is an advantage.Ability to travel extensively.
