Job Description Position Overview: The role of Federal Account Executive II plays a crucial role in expanding our client base, driving revenue growth, and fostering long-term relationships. The Federal Account Executive role must proactively identify new opportunities, develop strategic plans, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver innovative security solutions to our federal clients. Understands federal contracting process and ability to review/assess federal RFP requirements, in addition to understanding contractual federal compliance requirements, as well as the federal sales cycle. Has relationships with and/or ability to develop relationships with strategic partners to win federal business. Key Responsibilities: Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the federal sector. Develop and execute proactive growth strategies to expand the client base. Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and client needs. Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients. Collaborate with clients to understand their evolving security needs and challenges. Provide consultative guidance on security solutions that align with client objectives. Perform site surveys for electronic security systems, taking detailed notes, developing sketches and drawings, and taking pictures. Develop statements of work from information gathered during site surveys. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve revenue targets. Collaborate with internal teams to customize and deliver integrated security solutions. Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance in proposed solutions. Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling proposals that address client requirements. Work closely with technical and operational teams to develop comprehensive solutions. Conduct effective presentations to articulate the value proposition of Convergint Federal. Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts. Provide regular reports on sales performance and key metrics to the management team. Other Duties: Other duties assigned within reason of current role previously specified. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. 7+ years of proven experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in the federal sector. Prefer experience supporting the US Navy and/or Navy Programs. Strong understanding of integrated security solutions and technologies, to include access control, intrusion detection, video systems (specifically, Lenel, Bosch, DMP, and Milestone). Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Security clearance or the ability to apply and receive clearance. Results-oriented with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Requirements: The job may require lifting objects weighing between 25 - 50 pounds. The clearance requirements are determined by the agency(s) in which you are assigned. Convergint Federal will sponsor the level of clearance required.
