Machining to salvage Cat parts, and Engine cylinder blocks for reusability/remanufacturing.
Good problem-solving skills, be innovative and ability to maintain company assets in a manner that reflects the company's vision of working as "One Professional Team."
Knowledge, understanding and ability to safely operate manual horizontal/vertical mills, lathes and some CNC machining centers.
Ability to accurately measure using calipers, micrometers, internal/external, read and understand blueprints.
Understanding of feeds and speeds, threading and cutting applications and ability to identify material used/needed, CNC knowledge helpful.
First & 2nd Shift openings
Pay Rate:$34.50 - $50.60 per hour
2nd Shift:base pay + 10% shift differential
Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience.

Prepares inspection and appraisal reports Orders replacement parts as needed Completes salvage inspections, interprets results, and performs or recommends corrective action on parts Arranges with supervisor for all sublet or component work required to minimize idle time Makes recommendations as to repairs meeting warranty criteria or being caused by abuse or normal wear or rework Diagnoses and troubleshoots failure, mechanical conditions, and reparability on equipment and components Recommends actions to correct failures or problems Reconditions or fabricates major parts to manufacturer's specification Determines reusability of parts in accordance with published guidelines Other duties as assigned by manager Supervisory Responsibilities:Teaches and provides guidance to lower class Machinists Required Education and Experience:High School Diploma or GED 3+ years' experience as a machinist preferred Physical Demands & Competencies:Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, etc.
