Responsible for supporting the sales process through leading the estimating efforts for large material handling system
integration projects. This individual will work closely with the sales, engineering, execution team, and vendors to build
accurate cost estimates for projects. They will support the project implementation process by ensuring estimates align with actual costs.
Role and Responsibilities
These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Collaborate with internal project teams and external vendors to develop detailed cost estimates for material handling system integration projects.
Collaborate with internal project teams and external vendors to develop preliminary project schedules.
Develop high-level rough order of magnitude pricing for material handling system integration projects leveraging rules of thumb and historical data.
Create RFQs for equipment and services to solicit bids from vendors.
Present project budgets to sales and leadership.
Maintain awareness of current market conditions that affect pricing and lead times.
Review RFP (Request for Proposal) documentation, quotes, drawings, and other relevant documents in detail.
Lead the hand-off of project budgets to implementation team.
Assist sales teams with creation of sales proposals and presentations as needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
4-year / BS Degree in engineering, business, or related field
Preferred 2+ years experience in project cost estimating, project controls, procurement, project management, or engineering.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
