Description Mission Statement Develop HS risk management process control and support environmental activities, life safety control, priority risks for the two plants, and program execution. Environmental and employee health and safety work includes activities related to the environment (including the wider community affected by environmental hazards) and employees, including: Functions Develop and implement policies and procedures to identify/mitigate hazardous conditions in the workplace and external environment. Investigate environmental accidents and incidents and liaise with engineers, managers, and health and safety authorities to determine the causes of accidents and prevent recurrence. Provide advice and training on safety protocols and conduct audits to ensure compliance with organizational and governmental standards related to the environment and employee health and safety. Maintain relationships with the community, environmental groups, and other stakeholders affected by the organization's environmental performance. Participate in HSE compliance audits and other requirements. Required Skills and Experience HSE professional and/or environmental/industrial engineer. OSH professional with current license. Course in heights, confined spaces, chemical and electrical hazards. Bilingual in English. 6 years of experience implementing wellness and musculoskeletal programs. Experience managing diverse and dynamic teams. Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships and promote a harmonious safe environment. Ability to complete written reports and electronic communications quickly and with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism while on the floor.
