CTG Latam Bogota, D.C., Capital District, Colombia Environmental Engineer China Three Gorges Latam , a leading renewable energy company, is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join the team.
The Environmental Engineer will support the Greenfield Department by conducting environmental, CSR, and permitting analyses.
This role ensures that the company's activities align with internal policies, regulatory frameworks, and sustainability goals.
The Environmental Engineer will actively contribute to project development, helping secure permits, meet environmental standards, and integrate Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) into project operations.
Key job responsibilities: Business Development: Provide environmental advice in major economic activities of the Company, such as investments, financing, project development, construction and operation, and share and asset transfer under a sustainability approach.
Support rendering environmental advice to the management and business development areas of the Company in the negotiation, drafting, execution, performance, and amendments of major contracts.
Draft Environmental opinions for major decisions and support the project management department while submitting investment proposals to headquarters.
Develop projects to reach RTB, including cooperation with partners and dealing with related authorizations and external consultants.
Permitting Assessment: Prepare and review proposals for permitting applications.
Assess the permitting related to projects to reach RTB.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Support the Head of the sustainability department and Company's Management and Board of Directors to uphold CTG Latam's commitment to ethical behavior and contribute to economic development while improving the quality of life of the workforce, their families, the local community, and society at large.
Assist the Sustainability Department in implementing CSR actions that positively impact the environment, society, and the economy, avoiding development models that harm nature.
Others: Coordinate and manage the Company's external environmental consultants.
Travel and monitor Company's assets.
Review reports requested by CTGI and CTG Corporation.
Requirements: University Degree in Environmental Management / Environmental Engineering and accepted to practice in Colombia.
At least 3 years of relevant experience related to environmental advice functions and project development.
Experience with renewable projects, especially PV.
Demonstrated analytical and writing skills, results-oriented and hands-on approach.
Experience with related authorizations.
Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish.
Strong communication, adaptability, leadership, and experience in green energy development.
