Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Digital Product Development to serve a major Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) client. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team to understand digital product needs, reflecting that understanding in a proposed architecture, and mobilizing the team to bring the architecture to life through modern technology stacks, including AWS, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks like Angular, Python, C#, containers, and more. This role requires strong technical consulting experience, an in-depth understanding of multi-tenant SaaS application architectures, and a proven track record of leading the development of commercial software products. You will report to the Digital Product Development Service Area Lead and will be based in the United States, Colombia, Costa Rica, or Mexico. The Director of Digital Product Development will serve as a strategic leader, oversee technical delivery, and provide vision and direction to ensure alignment with client goals. This role involves 80% external (billable) efforts and 20% internal (non-billable) efforts annually, with key responsibilities outlined below. Key Responsibilities: Client Engagement and Solution Design: Lead the architectural vision and direction for major client engagements, particularly focusing on the SaaS model. Lead the team in understanding client business objectives and translating them into actionable technical solutions. Develop and maintain technology roadmaps that align with the client's business goals and support their SaaS strategy. Design comprehensive, scalable, and efficient solution options for multi-tenant applications. Guide the creation of compelling, persuasive narratives in a client-ready format to propose solution options. Ensure the production and maintenance of detailed documentation of solution designs, including diagrams of the solution architecture, integration points, and data flows. Technical Leadership and Delivery: Lead and inspire the development team in building critical software components, directly contributing to development efforts as needed. Mobilize and coordinate team members for hands-on development activities, including coding, code reviews, and debugging, to ensure the quality and integrity of the solution. Guide technical resources to estimate the effort and time required to deliver proposed solutions. Provide high-level solution implementation plans, outlining solution effort, risk, and technical dependencies. Provide strategic technical leadership and guidance to development teams to ensure delivery of expected client outcomes. Establish and enforce technical standards and best practices for software development, platform engineering, and system integration. Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle. Stakeholder Engagement and Innovation: Engage with senior client stakeholders to influence strategic decisions and drive innovation. Act as a thought leader, sharing strategic guidance externally with clients and other audiences on emerging technologies, industry trends, and modern SaaS practices. Represent Gorilla Logic at industry conferences and events to promote our technical capabilities. Sales Support and Business Development: Conduct client discovery calls to tell the Gorilla Logic story and credentialize our capabilities. Partner with the Sales organization to provide technical leadership and a solutions-based approach for sales pursuits and proposals. Support the Service Area Lead in evolving the portfolio of capabilities and solutions. Leadership and Internal Contribution: Participate as a senior leader within the Solution Engineering Leadership Team (SELT), contributing to the strategic direction and key decisions for the Solution Engineering organization. Lead internal initiatives and knowledge sharing to enhance Gorilla Logic's technical capabilities and service offerings. Serve as a mentor and coach for Solution Architects, Experts, and other technical team members, fostering growth and development within the team. Partner with talent acquisition to identify and prioritize required skills for job applicants and contribute to the hiring process. Required Skills and Experience: 11+ years of experience in relevant fields. Proven track record of leading large-scale, complex projects with a focus on SaaS architectures and cloud-native solutions. Experience building multi-tenant SaaS applications and a deep understanding of AWS services and modern development stacks (JavaScript/Angular, Python, C#, containers, etc.). Exceptional collaboration skills, with the ability to earn credibility quickly with C-level executives. Strong strategic thinking, project management, and risk management skills. Highest level of English proficiency, both verbal and written, with an ability to effectively present ideas and information. Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Willingness to travel occasionally to client locations in the United States or Gorilla Logic offices in Costa Rica or Colombia as needed. Why Join Gorilla Logic?
