Type of contract: Staff (Permanent and Fixed Term) Macro-area: Latin America and the Caribbean Level of experience: Senior Professional, more than 5 years Area of work Definition: Leadership and Management Duties and Accountabilities Strategy Develop and maintain a good understanding of the country's business, economic, and political background. Coordinate and provide substantive input to IFC Country and Industry Strategies and other WBG strategy documents. Participate in the design of new approaches and interventions to create upstream markets. Build and maintain relationships across financial analysts, think-tanks, and government officials. Business Development and Portfolio Management Oversee integration and delivery of IFC's investment and advisory activities in Colombia. Promote and coordinate IFC's investment and advisory activities. Research untapped markets to identify current constraints to private sector investment. Represent IFC externally and provide visibility through organizing/participating in high-profile events. Country Operations, Staff Supervision/Development and Resource Management Manage administrative and logistical operations of IFC Colombia. Coordinate senior visits and missions to Colombia. Oversee or supervise assigned staff and consultants. Develop assigned staff through mentoring and coaching. Selection Criteria MBA or master's degree in business, Finance, Economics, Public policy, or related discipline. At least 6 years of relevant experience in investment banking and project/program development. Excellent understanding of the local and global economic and political context in Colombia. Experience developing partnerships with private sector clients and stakeholders. Outstanding analytical and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated commitment to the World Bank Group core values. Strong leadership and influencing skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish. Proven ability to effectively plan, direct, organize and administer diverse activities.
