What we're looking for Ideaware is looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our technology team and work on an inspiring international project with one of our partners in the U.S. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside a highly experienced team and contribute to the development of a high-growth multi-vendor marketplace company. As a DevOps Engineer, your focus will be continuously improving the infrastructure supporting our core business activities. You will be responsible for the rollout of services into production and implementing testing and monitoring best practices. You should thrive in fast-paced environments and be comfortable working autonomously and as a team player. This role requires a willingness to immerse yourself in our client's technology and business but does not require any prior expertise. This role will heavily focus on infrastructure support based within AWS and optimization of processes (Optimizing internal API communications through API gateway, route 53, etc). This will show up in the interview as someone who can showcase their problem-solving skills within the Amazon tool and likely has set up and utilized AWS within more than one organization. Responsibilities Develop highly available and scalable infrastructure. Implement and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting tools. Write scripts and automate tasks using Perl/Python/Groovy/Java/Bash/JavaScript. Build and maintain CI/CD infrastructure for our platform. Evaluate, implement, and test the deployment, monitoring, scaling, and administrative and cloud release pipeline infrastructure for the cloud-hosted deployment of interest. Build and document the procedures and policies. Qualifications You must have 5+ years working within an AWS environment. Have well-rounded infrastructure experience; this will include work with config management tools (Ansible or Puppet would suffice), automation (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD (Jenkins, etc.). Confidence in building highly scalable applications on AWS using services like API Gateway, Lambda, ElastiCache, SQS, DynamoDB, Kinesis, and ECS. Experience with the administration, provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of cloud services. Knowledge of distributed systems architectures (microservices, event-based architecture) and high-availability concepts such as blue-green deployments. Experience working with AWS CloudFormation; Terraform experience is an asset. A deep knowledge of the operation of Docker, or Kubernetes, is highly desirable. Experience working with ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana) stack is desirable. Expertise in at least one server-side programming language and framework (e.g., Java, Node.js). Experience with relational & non-relational databases (e.g., schema design, index strategy, querying, and performance tuning). Configuration Management experience in Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar. Experience with CI/CD and deployment pipeline setup and automation (Jenkins). Value teamwork and encourage collaboration. Good verbal and written communication skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
