Role and Responsibilities Execute and Optimize Cloud Infrastructure Tasks: Perform advanced cloud infrastructure management, including provisioning, scaling, and automating cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), following standard operating procedures. Provide feedback to improve infrastructure processes and automation. Lead CI/CD Pipeline Management: Lead the design, setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting of more complex CI/CD pipelines. Ensure that build, deployment, and testing processes are efficient, reliable, and scalable. Configuration Management & Automation: Implement and manage configuration changes using advanced automation tools (e.g., AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible). Review and optimize existing automation workflows and processes. Resolve Medium-Complexity Issues: Drive the resolution of medium-complexity problems related to cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and automation tools. Coordinate with senior team members to resolve larger scope issues. Client and Internal Communication: Represent the DevOps team in routine communications with clients and internal stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project progress and operational performance. Mentor and Train Team Members: Coach and train newer DevOps engineers on job-specific tasks, tools, and processes. Serve as a mentor by providing guidance on best practices and troubleshooting techniques. Drive Process and Team Improvements: Lead small team initiatives to improve operational efficiency, such as refining automation scripts, enhancing deployment pipelines, or improving monitoring tools. Propose and implement process improvements for both technical and procedural workflows. Monitor and Maintain Cloud Resources: Monitor the performance, security, and health of cloud environments. Required Qualification & Education 5-10+ years' experience in DevOps AWS, Cloud Engineering, or related IT field Proven documentation, presentation, and communication skills Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field University Degree with 2-4 years of experience in the domain. Masters/Graduate degree and 0-2 years' experience in domain Required Skills & Competencies Advanced DevOps skills: Proficiency with tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines Cloud management expertise: Strong experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including infrastructure design and automation (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible) Basic leadership and project management skills: Ability to manage small projects, lead initiatives, and mentor junior team members Client communication skills: Capable of professionally handling complex client interactions and providing technical guidance Big picture thinking: Ability to align team efforts with organizational goals and drive continuous improvements Root cause analysis & process improvement: Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues and streamline processes Team collaboration: Able to lead and work effectively as part of a cross-functional team Required Software Knowledge Proficiency in DevOps tools: Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline tools Advanced cloud platform knowledge: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (including services like EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda) Expertise in automation tools: AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, or similar for infrastructure management Scripting proficiency: Python, Shell, or other scripting languages for task automation Familiarity with monitoring tools: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar Proficiency in documentation tools: Jira, Confluence, and MS Office Working knowledge of project management tools: Jira, or similar platforms Preferred Experience Expertise in DevOps practices: Advanced experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, cloud infrastructure, and configuration management Experience in customer-facing roles: Capable of addressing technical issues and providing solutions in a professional manner Process improvement experience: Proven ability to identify inefficiencies and implement enhancements in DevOps workflows Experience in the green energy or utilities domain Experience with a U.S. based company AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate Certification or a related certification is a plus Preferred Skills & Competencies Advanced DevOps skills: Proficiency in cloud infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD pipelines Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues effectively Strong communication skills: Capable of translating complex technical information into clear, understandable terms for both technical and non-technical audiences Process improvement: Proven experience in identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions to optimize processes Coaching and leadership skills: Basic ability to mentor and guide DevOps Engineers and lead small initiatives within the team #J-18808-Ljbffr
