Brief Overview: This role involves overseeing the development team, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Development Manager to lead our data platform scrum teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, and a passion for delivering high-quality data solutions. Core Responsibilities: Manage and mentor a team of developers, providing guidance on best practices and career development. Oversee the software development lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals. Collaborate with architects and engineers to design and implement robust and scalable software solutions. Work closely with product managers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment on project objectives. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team productivity and software quality. Conduct code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and adherence to development guidelines. Provide regular updates on project progress and team performance to senior management. Work with team members to resolve blockers and issues, providing technical guidance and contributing as an individual contributor when required. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 12+ years of IT experience in data warehouse domain and projects, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.). Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines. Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail. Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience building data pipelines and knowledge of cloud data warehouse (DWH) technologies. Experience building reports and a good understanding of end-to-end data warehousing projects. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in healthcare industry. Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP). Familiarity with DevOps practices.
