Job Purpose: To ensure a safe and compliant work environment by overseeing daily safety operations, conducting hazard assessments, and implementing safety measures. The position involves managing safety programs, coordinating regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement in workplace safety through training, inspections, and incident investigations.
Minimum Qualifications: Degree in engineering in Mechanical / Electrical, Diploma in Industrial safety recognised by State government (RLI).
Preferred/Desired qualification: Diploma in Industrial safety recognised by State government (RLI).
Specific experience: 8~ 12 years
Overall experience: 8 – 12 years in an industry (Preferred from Automobile or Auto component manufacturing industry.)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPlan & execute daily weekly patrolling, ensuring closing of observation point & horizontal deployment. Identification of potential hazards in machines, process, or workplace aiming to Zero accident/incidents.Making MIS & report it to management, maintaining records of OSHMS, setting up the safety targets (Person must have good presentation skills).Fulfilment of regulatory compliances including obtaining licenses, filing returns (Fire NOC etc.), Strong regulatory knowledge in federal state & local regulation.Ability of accident / incident / near miss Investigation, ensure implementation of countermeasures with measuring effectiveness of countermeasure.Coordination with various department for safety system implementation & activities.Plan & execute preventive / breakdown maintenance of various indicative & operative safety devices (Fire hydrant system, Smoke sensors, CO2 flooding system etc.). Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of various industrial control mechanism in regards of safety.Able to work independently in fast-paced environment with excellent team skill.Basic knowledge of ISO 14001 system & environmental safety procedures.Issuing safety permit for irregular / abnormal work & its controlling.Having knowledge of Risk Assessment procedure, conducting/controlling mock drills as per plan.Design and conduct either independently or in collaboration with the departments various industrial behavioral training, conduct educational programs to prevent personnel injuries.Review employee safety programs & recommend improvements.Meeting the budgetary requirement (Plan for budget allocation as per the work requirement & keeping economy).
