Data Source Staff Engineer Job Description: Able to work independently, with little guidance, maintaining a strategic perspective; Able to lead technical initiatives independently to a successful completion with little guidance; Mentors new and existing data engineers in the team as needed; Suggests improvements in standards, best practices, development, testing, or CI/CD processes, driving for continuous improvement and automation; Leads by example, contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented, stimulating, engaging, and enjoyable environment for the development team; Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data Management, Operations and Delivery teams to assist with technical problems or issues; solving production issues; supporting data infrastructure needs; and supporting integrations with other products or internal solutions as needed; Communicates and documents technical concepts, designs, and processes so that non-technical stakeholders easily understand; Able to research and develop proof of concepts, introducing new solutions and technologies to product leaders and stakeholders to address business needs and challenges; Able to gather and translate business requirements into technical designs and develop, test, implement, and deploy enterprise grade, high volume data solutions using the latest cloud-based technologies; Able to follow Agile methodologies to release iterative feature sets rapidly; Able to perform functional and performance testing on code and data to ensure quality assurance and performance criteria are met. Qualifications: Must have experience with the following in order to complete the above-mentioned tasks: Experience with data engineering, data modeling and/or data processing; Experience with SQL, relational and non-relational databases, and data warehouses, including schema designs and database and query performance tuning; Experience creating designs, developing code, testing and leveraging automation for code and data quality; Experience with Python; Experience with Snowflake; Experience in cloud base technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure); Experience working in Agile teams; Experience working in CI/CD environments; Experience with code repositories such as Git, Bitbucket, Github, etc.; Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, and at least two years of experience as a Data Engineer, QA Engineer or a related occupation. Additional Information: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $119,000 - $198,500 . Salary is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The company's incentive compensation plan is subject to change.
