Responsibilities Manage and optimize databases to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and processing. This includes data modeling, schema design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting database issues. Normalize and optimize transactional data models to ensure a scalable architecture. Improve SQL query performance by optimizing databases and implementing best practices in data management. Participate, end to end, in the product life cycle: discovery, estimates, requirements gathering, solution design, planning, development, testing, release and warranty. Advocate for technical improvements, and help shape our technical roadmap. Learn our diverse data sources and bring a strong grasp of ETL & ELT, workflows, and data organization via efficient data lake and relational designs. Requirements 3+ years of experience in data acquisition, transformation, cleaning, and data mining both structured and unstructured data. Exceptional ability to write, explain, and optimize complex SQL statements. Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL schema design, tradeoffs, and constraints. Solid experience developing software with PHP and MySQL. Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, backend application development, and data modeling. Prior experience with eCommerce and complex Product Information Management modeling. Advanced English.
