Role: Our fintech client is a market leader in providing data and business intelligence to help financial services professionals make faster and smarter investment decisions. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data/Python Engineer to play a pivotal role in architecting and implementing robust data solutions to support the company's evolving needs. Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop scalable and efficient data solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Data pipeline optimization: continuously enhance and optimize data pipelines to maximize performance and reliability, utilizing expertise in Python and associated libraries. Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to understand data requirements and implement solutions that facilitate data-driven decision making. Develop monitoring and alert systems to proactively identify and resolve data-related issues. Constantly evaluate and explore emerging technologies and tools. Mentor and guide junior data engineers by sharing knowledge, setting high standards, and promoting best practices. Requirements: Extensive experience in Python development. Strong understanding of data modeling principles and the ability to translate complex business requirements into efficient data structures. Hands-on experience with various data storage and processing technologies, such as relational databases, NoSQL databases, and distributed computing frameworks. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP). Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL and/or MySQL) and experience with columnar storage technologies (Redshift, Snowflake). Proven ability to analyze complex problems and propose innovative solutions, demonstrating a data-driven approach. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, enabling effective teamwork with cross-functional teams. Experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Apache Beam is a plus. Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and tools like AWS Glue, Airflow, Airbyte, dbt, etc. is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems, or related field. #J-18808-Ljbffr
